I got to help out with some more late-night network maintenance yesterday. Data traffic had to be rerouted from one circuit to an alternate so that some fiber work could be done on the link. Rerouting traffic is a relatively simple operation, but with potentially significant impact if something goes wrong. Here's the pretty picture showing work that we did over the last week. Through both events (the spike and the drop), there were no hard outages.
